Older people and babies are prone to fracture due to fall. Their bones are fragile and even if they fall from a low area it can cause them injury. Getting older changes your motor and sensory abilities. You may not be as sharp as you are when you were younger. Your sight, hearing, muscle tone, coordination and reflexes changes as you advance in your years. Fracture is very serious for them since most people at this age have osteoporosis.
You can do preventive measures to avoid this injury. Canes can be used to aid you from walking. Also you can install railings in the bathroom since that area is most of the time wet. do not buy shoes that are slippery, rubber soles are much preferred.
